U.S. President Barack Obama arrived on Sunday in Cuba, to start a historic visit to the island nation, the first in 88 years.

The plane touched down at 4:19 p.m. local time at Jose Marti International Airport, where Obama was greeted by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez as well as other Cuban and U.S. officials. (Cuba-Obama-Visit)

BARCELONA -- A total of 23 people remain hospitalized, three of them in critical condition, after a bus accident in northeastern Spain on Sunday killed at least 13 students.

According to the latest assessment by the Minister of Interior of Catalonia, Jordi Jane, 13 foreign students, all female, died in the accident which took place in the town of Freginals in the province of Tarragona, northeastern region of Catalonia. A total of 63 people were involved in the accident. (Spain-Accident)

JERUSALEM -- An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) plane carrying the bodies of three Israelis killed in a suicide bombing attack in Istanbul landed in Israel on Sunday afternoon, the Israeli army said.

On board the plane were the bodies of the three Israeli victims in the attack, and five injured Israelis who were evacuated to hospitals in Israel, one of whom is said to be in critical condition. (Israel-Istanbul-Bodies)

NAIROBI -- Kenya army said its troops serving under the African Union Peacekeeping Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) killed 13 more Al-Shabaab militants in heavy fighting in southern Somalia on Sunday morning.
