Samohin of Israel wins men's title at World Junior Figure Skating Championships

Daniel Samohin of Israel skated off with the men's gold on Friday at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships held in Debrecen, E. Hungary.

Samohin, who just placed 9th with 71.27 points after the short program on Wednesday, led the free skating with 165.38 points and totaled 236.65 to win the gold.

Nicolas Nadeau of Canada and Tomoki Hiwatashi of the United States claimed the silver and bronze medal respectively.

Zhang He of China finished 10th with 195.70 points.

The Junior Figure Skating Championships began on Wednesday. The ladies' free skating and ice dance free dance will be on Saturday.

The event ends on Sunday with a gala performance of the top placed skaters. Endit
