Xinhua, March 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Nepal's Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Friday called for enhancing economic cooperation between Nepal and China.

Speaking to media in Gorkha District of Nepal, Bhattarai said that "We have to seek support from foreign countries to develop physical infrastructures in the country" and the time has come to enhance economic cooperation with China.

The former prime minister said Nepal should work closely with China and India to develop road and railway networks to promote the economic relationship.

Bhattarai also noted that ties between Nepal and India have been improving after the trade embargo lifted in mid February. Endit
