Indian stocks close flat

Indian stocks gyrated between heavy gains and losses to end on a flat note on Thursday, tracking a dovish commentary by the U.S. Federal Reserve and a capitulation in the European markets.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 24,677.37, 5.11 points or 0.02 percent down from the previous close of 24,682.48, with a turnover of 643.85 crore rupees (about 96.3 million U.S. dollars). Endit
