Danfoss sales up 11 pct in 2015

Xinhua, March 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

Danish industrial giant Danfoss saw its net sales grow 11 percent to the record level of 38 billion Danish kroner (5.65 billion U.S. dollars) in 2015, the company said on Wednesday.

Operating profit for the full year 2015 was improved to 4.1 billion kroner against 3.9 billion kroner in 2014, while net profit rose 13 percent to stand at 2.6 billion kroner, Danfoss said in its annual financial report.

Danfoss attributed the growth to the globally increasing focus on the potential in energy efficiency and the need for climate-friendly solutions.

"2015 was a good year for Danfoss. Our focal point has been to further strengthen our global position including acquisitions of new innovative technologies and investing in new test and demonstration facilities," said Danfoss president and CEO Niels Christiansen.

Christiansen said the company's increased investments in innovation paid off with several new products utilizing digital technology being successfully introduced to the markets and well received by customers. (1 U.S. dollar = 6.715 Danish kroner) Endit
