Neymar aiming to stay at Camp Nou

Xinhua, March 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

There has been a lot of speculation over the future of FC Barcelona's Brazilian striker Neymar in recent weeks and months as talks continue over a new contract, but the player himself is confident he will not be leaving the club.

Barca's financial issues have seen Neymar linked with a possible move to England with Manchester United a possible candidate to sign him, while Real Madrid, who were interested in buying him before he joined Barca, also mooted as a possible destination.

However, in an interview on Brazilian television 'Globo' the striker assured he was quite happy where he is at the moment.

"I am very happy at Barcelona, it is a place where I feel at home," said Neymar, who has so far scored 25 goals in all competitions this season.

"My companions help to make me feel very relaxed in relation with everything and I don't see myself leaving Barcelona," he added.

Now in his third year with the club, Neymar said he was in the "best moment" of his career and said that he had improved as a player during his time at the Camp Nou stadium.

2016 saw Barca won five out of the six titles it is possible to win in a calendar year while this season sees them eight points clear at the top of the BBVA Primera Liga, in the final of the King's Cup knockout tournament and battling to do something which no other side has been able to do: retain the Champions League.

"Things are going better than I thought, now we want to repeat those triumphs," said Neymar. Endi
