Rolling Stones to make triumphant return to Mexico

Xinhua, March 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

Famous British rock band the Rolling Stones on Monday gave one of their two concerts here as part of the "America Latina Ole" tour in February and March, the Stone's first tour of South America since 2006.

The legendary band, which consisted of Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar), Ronnie Wood (guitar), and Charlie Watts (bass), arrived in Mexico City on Friday.

Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger visited the city and enjoyed some of Mexico's best cuisines on Sunday, the day before the eagerly awaited concert at the Foro Sol, a sports and concert venue in eastern Mexico City.

On his Twitter and Facebook accounts, Jagger shared a photograph of himself at Mexico City's National Museum of Anthropology and History, with a bilingual message of "Looking forward to seeing you all at the show tomorrow" to express his enthusiasm for the concert.

The Rolling Stones is a British rock band formed in London in 1962. Identified with the youthful and rebellious counterculture of the 1960s, the band became popular in the United States and was introduced as "The World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band" during their "Golden Age."

Their second concert in Mexico City will take place on March 17. Endi
