Chinese shares open lower Tuesday

Chinese stocks opened lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.19 percent, at 2,853.98 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index opened 0.29 percent lower at 9,636.63 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.31 percent to open at 2,016.81 points. Endi
