Police arrested three protesters for disrupting Finnish Prime Minister Juha Sipila's speech at the University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu on Monday, local media reported.

Sipila was invited to speak at a bio-economy seminar organized in the University of Eastern Finland. A group of demonstrators gathered in the lobby of the university to protest against him.

According to Finnish daily Iltalehti, some of the protesters managed to get into the hall where the prime minister was giving his speech and interrupted him, one of them sounding a fire alarm.

The demonstration was organized by the Green Left Party in eastern Finland to object to the prime minister's policies. About 150 people participated in the protest, said the police. Enditem
