At least 31 people were killed and 47 others injured in separate rain-related accidents in Pakistan over the last three days, the authorities said Sunday.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said in a statement that the country's south Balochistan province was the worst hit where 17 people were killed, 15 others injured and 48 houses collapsed in separate incidents caused by torrential rains. (Pakistan-Rain-Accidents)

ANKARA -- A total of 11 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were killed in southeast Turkey's Hakkari province on Saturday, Turkish General Staff stated on Sunday.

According to the statement, 11 PKK militants were killed, and five Kalashnikov rifles were seized during the anti-terror operation by Turkish security forces on Sunday in Hakkari province. (Turkey-PKK-Operation)

TOKYO -- A U.S. sailor was arrested by local police in Japan's southernmost prefecture of Okinawa on Sunday over alleged raping of a female traveler in her 40s, according to local report.

The U.S. Navy sailor, according to Japan's Kyodo News, was identified as Justin Castellanos, 24, a seaman at the U.S. Navy's Camp Schwab in northern part of the prefecture. The report said that the suspect denied the allegation. (Japan-US Sailor-Rape)

JAKARTA -- Floods hitting Indonesia's West Java province has killed two people, left three others missing and forced more than 3,000 others to flee homes, official of disaster agency said here on Sunday.

The floods have occurred since Saturday as days of heavy downpours triggered waters of Citarum river in Bandung district to overflow and submerge several areas in the district, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of national disaster management agency said. (Indonesia-Flood)

ADEN, Yemen -- About 15 militants of the Yemen-based al-Qaida branch were killed in overnight Saudi-led air strikes in Yemen's temporary capital of Aden, a military official told Xinhua on Sunday.
