Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen's eldest son Hun Manet on Sunday led a youth group in the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) to visit China with an aim to enhance youth-to-youth ties between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters at Phnom Penh international airport before the departure, 37-year-old Hun Manet, a member of the CPP's Central Committee, said the 57-member delegation would spend 11 days in China to strengthen youth-to-youth relations between the two countries.

"Every year, we exchange such a visit that could enhance our relations and cooperation,"he said.

"The visit aims to exchange views between youths of the two countries, mainly focusing on youth's activities and contributions to national development."

He said during the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the CPP's youth and the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s youth would be signed in Beijing.

"Under the upcoming MoU, the youths of the two countries will provide mutual support for education and youth development." Endit
