Dollar in upper 112 yen zone in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar was trading in the upper 112 yen range in early deals on Friday morning in Tokyo, retreating from levels seen overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 112.83-84 yen compared with 113.16-26 yen in New York and 113.58-59 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1179-1180 dollars and 126.13-14 yen against 1.1173-1183 dollars and 126.52-62 yen in New York and 1.0967-0968 dollars and 124.57-61 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endit
