Mine accident kills one in BiH

Xinhua, March 11, 2016 Adjust font size:

One miner was killed Thursday in a coal mine accident in northeastern region of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), officials said.

The miner was buried and killed when the ceiling fell down inside a pit at a coal mine near the town of Banovic, local officials said. Five others in the same pit managed to get away safely.

The body of the victim was later found by rescue teams while investigation was underway, local media reported.

Banovic is located in a area with several major coal mines and its economy relies heavily on coal industry. Enditem
