Singapore stocks close 0.05 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 1.31 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 2,809.12.

A total of 2.39 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 988.0 million Singapore dollars (715.8 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 203 to 186, while 530 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 31.66 points, or 1.14 percent, to close at 2,810.43 on Wednesday. Endit
