Xinhua, March 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's treasury bond futures closed mixed on Thursday, with the March 2016 contract 0.31 percent lower at 101.3 yuan (about 15.4 U.S. dollars).

The June contract went up 0.13 percent to end at 100.6 yuan, while the September 2016 contract closed 0.11 percent higher at 100.1 yuan.

The contracts are agreements to buy or sell treasury bonds at a predetermined price and set date. They allow investors to bet on and profit from the movements in the value of the bonds.

The treasury bond futures were launched at the Shanghai-based China Financial Futures Exchange and started trading on Sept. 6, 2013. Endi
