Tokyo stocks end lower by break

Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower Wednesday on losses in the overnight U.S. market and the yen's advance.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average declined 267.22 points, or 1.59 percent, from Tuesday to 16,515.93.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 23.96 points, or 1.78 percent, to 1,323.76. Enditem
