1st LD-Writethru: China "unwavering" in Korean Peninsula denuclearization: FM

Xinhua, March 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

China will stay unwavering to pursue the denuclearization in the Korean Peninsula, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday.

China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) enjoy normal state-to-state relations, and China cherishes its traditional bond with the DPRK, Wang said at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress.

Wang pledged that China will support and help the DPRK if the latter seeks development and security, but China will not accommodate its pursuit of nuclear and missile programs.

Wang reaffirmed that dialogue is the way out for the Korean Peninsula, and a win-win outcome can only be reached by cooperation of all parties. Endi
