Indian nationals urged to return home from danger zones abroad

Xinhua, March 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

India has urged all its nationals in danger zones to return to the country in the wake of the death of an Indian nun in a terror attack in war-ravaged Yemen Friday.

"I appeal to all Indians in such danger zones to please come back to India," External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has tweeted.

The minister's appeal came after reports emerged that one Indian nun was among 16 killed in the terror attack in an old care home run by Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in Yemen.

Some two to four terrorists reportedly entered the old age home in the city of Aden, asking the gateman to open the gates so that they could visit their mothers.

On entering, they first shot dead the gatekeeper, then moved from room to room, handcuffing the victims before shooting them in the head. Endit
