One person was dead and four others went missing in Indonesia's ferry capsizal Friday as the search and rescue operation continued on Saturday.

"We discovered one body today (Saturday) and are searching for 4 missing persons," Head of Bali Search and Rescue Office Didi Hanzar told Xinhua by phone.

The head said that the ferry was over loaded and it should load 37 passengers and 14 crews.

"The fact is we have evacuated safely 76 people and found one dead body, and according to the information here 4 people, one of them a child, are still missing," Hanzar said.

The official said that the rescue operation on Saturday involved those from Bali and East Java search and rescue offices, navy, and police.

A helicopter and ships have been dispatched to support the rescue operation, he said.

The Ferry, Rafelia II, was capsized when it was leaving Gilimanuk port in Bali for Ketapang port in East Java's Banyuwangi district.

"The ferry leaked, so it capsized," the official said. Endit
