Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province have seized two black bears and a number of wild animal products from a man who illegally purchased them.

Forest police in Gongshan County detained a villager, surnamed Yang, at his home in Dulongjiang Township on Wednesday after they received a report about his illegal activities.

Two live black bears, other wild animal products such as leopard furs and bones and ivory, equipment for poaching, explosives and bullets, were also seized from Yang's house.

Yang pleaded guilty. The case is under further investigation.
