Mexico wins silver medal at FINA High Diving World Cup

Mexican diver Jonathan Paredes won a silver medal at FINA High Diving World Cup in Abu Dhabi, local press reported on Monday.

According to Mexican sports daily Cancha, Paredes, the world runner up in 2015, jumped from a 27-meter platform and achieved a total of 578.70 points to win silver medal.

Gold medal was taken by Britain's Gary Hunt (693.30), while bronze medal went to Colombian Orlando Duque (572.15).

A total of 26 divers took part in the competition. Another Mexican, Sergio Guzman, also had a good performance, finishing sixth place (530.10).

Last week, Mexican diver Rommel Pacheco won gold medal in the 3-meter springboard at FINA Diving World Cup 2016 held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Endit
