Imports by Albania from Italy up 18.3 pct in January

During the first month of 2016, imports of goods from Italy to Albania rose by 18.3 percent, reaching 11,239 million lek (88.63 million U.S. dollars), it was reported Monday.

Albanian Telegraphic Agency citing Albanian Statistics Institute data reported that Italy remained Albania's main trading partner with Albanian exports to Italy accounting for 10,374 million lek in January 2016.

Trade with Italy makes up 42.3 percent of the total trade of Albania.

The main imported goods from Italy to Albania are machinery and vehicle spare parts. Albania exports mainly textile and footwear goods to Italy. (1 U.S. dollar=126.85 Albanian lek) Endit
