Rockets fail to win game against Spurs

Xinhua, February 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Houston Rockets lost the game against visiting San Antonio Spurs 94-104 at the Toyota Center on Saturday night, mainly due to their poor performance in the first half.

The Rockets' performance was well under par in the first half with poor defense and shooting, and this led to the team's failure in the first quarter and the second one.

The Rockets were left behind the Spurs 31:51 in the first half. With the game on the line, the Rockets stepped up big time and led in the second half with a score of 63:53.

Unfortunately, the Rockets had no chance to win the game by having a 10 point gap with the visiting team.

James Harden scored 27 points, Dwight Howard had 11 points, both Jason Terry and Corey Brewer added 15 points.

Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 27 points, LaMarcus Aldridge and Tony Parker added 26 points and 15 points respectively.

It was the fifth straight win for the Spurs, which also became the seventh-fastest team in NBA history to reach 50 wins.

Currently, the Rockets fell to 29-30 while the Spurs improved to 50-9. Endi
