German Chihi joins Iran's Esteghlal

German midfielder Adil Chihi joined Iran's Esteghlal soccer team until the end of the season on Saturday, Tasnim news agency reported.

The 28-year-old player joined Esteghlal for an undisclosed fee.

His regular position is in right midfield, but he can play in forward.

Chihi was born in Dusseldorf of Germany, but represented Morocco at international level.

He made his first appearance for the Morocco national football team in the friendly match against Benin on 20 August 2008.

Esteghlal currently sits first place at the Iran Professional League. Endit
