British FTSE 100 rises 2.48 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 2.48 percent, or 145.63 points, to 6,012.81 points.

Share price of Lloyds Banking Group increased by 13.57 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. RSA Insurance Group, International Consolidated Airlines Group, Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland Group increased by 9.81 percent, 5.28 percent, 5.17 percent, 5.13 percent respectively.

Capita led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.13 percent, followed by Rio Tinto (3.60 percent), Randgold Resources (2.93 percent), easyJet (1.25 percent) and Fresnillo (0.25 percent). Endit
