An Explosion in the construction of a power plant in North Sumatra, Indonesia killed 7 workers and seriously wounded 6 others, a senior official from the disaster management agency said on Thursday.

The blast took place in a tunnel located in Rih Tengah village of Karo district on Tuesday, said Jonson Tarigan, secretary of local disaster management agency at the district.
