New York billionaire developer Donald Trump easily gained his third consecutive victory in an early-voting state Tuesday night and solidified his position as the front-runner in the Republican presidential field one week before Super Tuesday elections on March 1.

Trump's sweeping and decisive victory in the Nevada caucuses was declared by almost all major U.S. TV networks immediately after the polls closed at 12:00 a.m. EST (0500 GMT). (U.S.-Presidential Elections-Primaries)

BRUSSELS -- European Council President Donald Tusk here on Wednesday said the European Union (EU) would respect the decision of British people with regard to the country's decision on whether or not to stay in the EU.

Tusk made the remarks when making an opening statement at the plenary debate of European Parliament, saying "if the majority votes to leave, it will be so." (EU-UK-Exit)

CAIRO -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi said Wednesday that terrorists have been behind the October's Russian plane crash in Sinai to ruin Egyptian ties with other states, he said in a speech aired on the Egyptian state TV.

"What do those who brought downed the (Russian) plane want? They want to ruin tourism as well as our relations with Russia, Italy and with the whole world if he could, to isolate Egypt," Sisi told the attendees. (Egypt-Russia-Plane Crash)

ANKARA -- The Turkish General Staff announced on Wednesday that two Turkish soldiers were killed on Wednesday in Diyarbakir province during clashes with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants.

A total of nine PKK militants were killed on Wednesday in the Idil district of Sirnak province during an air operation, according to Dogan News.

On Wednesday, a soldier was dead in an armed attack, the General Staff said in a statement, adding that another one was heavily wounded and died later in a hospital. (Turkey-PKK-Clashes) Endi
