Blast kills 6 civilians in N. Afghanistan

Xinhua, February 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

An explosive device went off accidentally in a house in the northern Takhar province on Sunday, killing six civilians, provincial police spokesman Abdul Khalil Asir said Monday.

All the victims belong to same family, he added.

"A Mullah used to keep explosive device in his house in Baharak district, but the device exploded accidentally Sunday evening, killing the Mullah and five of his family members on the spot," Asir told Xinhua.

The case is under investigation, the official added. Enditem
