China expects more investment from CP Group

A senior official of the Chinese central government on Friday called on Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) to invest more in China and deepen cooperation with Chinese enterprises.

State Councilor Wang Yong told chairman of the CP Group Dhanin Chearavanont during a meeting at the Zhongnanhai compound that China hopes the CP Group will actively participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road."

Speaking highly of the CP Group's long-term contribution to China's economic, social development and pubic welfare, Wang called on the CP Group to play a bigger role in enhancing China-Thailand friendship and economic ties. Endi
