Tokyo shares end higher by break on rebounding oil prices

Tokyo shares ended the morning session on Thursday sharply higher as buying was boosted by upbeat U.S. stocks market overnight and rising oil prices.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average jumped 390.87 points, or 2.47 percent, higher from Wednesday to 16,227.23.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 28.88 points, or 2.25 percent, to 1,311.28. Enditem
