Renowned English women football coach Hope Powell will be in Namibia to aid the Namibia Football Association (NFA) when it hosts 34 participants for a FIFA Women Coaching Course in Windhoek next week.

Powell will be the Chief Instructor. The week long course will last from February 22 to 26 for active coaches that are working within Women Football.

The course is aimed at helping to educate and equip coaches with new modern coaching knowledge at various levels of their work-places and covers all aspects of women's football, including fitness, team preparation, knowledge of the games and the development of women's football.

The Course Instructor, Hope Powell, is an English former international footballer who was the coach of the England women's team and British Olympic team until August 2013.

As a player, Powell won 66 caps for England, mainly as an attacking midfielder scoring 35 goals. In 2003 Powell became the first woman to achieve the UEFA Pro License, the highest coaching qualification available. Enditem
