British FTSE 100 rises 0.65 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.65 percent, or 37.89 points, to 5,862.17 points.

Share price of Merlin Entertainments increased by 3.29 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Rolls-Royce Holdings, International Consolidated Airlines Group, Royal Mail and easyJet increased by 2.68 percent, 2.68 percent, 2.08 percent and 1.99 percent respectively.

Standard Chartered led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.34 percent, followed by Shire (1.50 percent), Dixons Carphone (1.49 percent), Schroders (1.40 percent) and Hammerson (1.07 percent). Enditem
