West Ham striker Jelavic completes move to China

Xinhua, February 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

West Ham striker Nikica Jelavic has joined Chinese League One (second tier) side Beijing Renhe, the London club said Tuesday.

The 30-year-old Croatian international has made one Premier League start this season under compatriot Slaven Bilic.

He follows Chelsea's Ramires, who joined Chinese Super League (CSL) giant Jiangsu Suning for 25 million pounds last month, while striker Jackson Martinez joined CSL champion Guangzhou Evergrande for 31 million pounds.

Jelavic signed for West Ham for 3 million pounds from Hull in August 2015, but has scored only once in the league despite making 12 appearances from the bench. He previously played for Everton and Rangers.

Beijing Renhe finished 15th in the CSL last year and relegated to the Chinese League One. Endit
