Xinhua, February 13, 2016 Adjust font size:

An accident involving a commuter minibus and a truck killed 14 people on the spot Friday in the northern region of Namibia.

Namibian police said the accident occurred about 520 km from the capital Windhoek in the early evening.

According to the police, all those who died were in the minibus traveling from Windhoek to the north.

Thirteen of the dead, the police said, were burnt beyond recognition.

Although the police said they were investigating, they also said early indications are that the truck swerved into the lane of the oncoming minibus resulting in the head-on collision.

The truck driver and his passenger survived the accident. Endit
