Nigeria's Enyimba in Uganda for CAF Champions League tie

The Premier League champions of Nigeria, Enyimba Stars have arrived in Uganda ahead of their 2016 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League tie against hots SC Vipers.

Enyimba arrived on Wednesday to face off with Uganda's Premier League champions SC Viper on Friday.

"Yes we respect our opponents, but we are here to win ahead of our return leg in Nigeria," Enyimba's coach Paul Aigbogun told Xinhua.

Team captain Chinedu Udoji said they are ready to work hard in order not to disappoint their country.

Fresh from finishing second in the just concluded Super Four tourney in Uyo State in Nigeria, Enyimba will rely on some new players like Theophilus Afelokhai and kechukwu Ibenegbu.

SC Vipers new coach George Nsimbe said they are in good form and should be able to get a good result.

SC Vipers will miss the services of their star player Farouk Miya who is leaving the country to join Belgian League side Standard Liege FC. Endit
