2nd Ld writethru: One survivor dies in plane crash in Myanmar

The only one military officer who survived a plane crash earlier in the day succumbed to his wounds in a hospital in Myanmar's new capital Nay Pyi Taw, according to Defence Services Commander-in-Chief office Wednesday.

The BEECH-1900D aircraft carrying five military officers who were flying during flight routine check crashed and burnt up near Shwepyitha village tract in Lewe township of Nay Pyi Taw shortly after taking off from the Nay Pyi Taw airport.

Three fire engines extinguished the fire. The other four officers on board died on the spot.

In 2014, a military jet fighter M29 on training crashed and burned into pieces after falling onto a farmland near Myothit township of Magway, Myanmar's central region.

Two army officers escaped death with parachutes but were injured. Enditem
