Denmark keen to invest in energy, pharmaceutical industries in Algeria: FM

Visiting Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen said on Monday that his country is keen to build win-win partnerships with Algeria in energy and pharmaceutical industries.

The Danish foreign minister kicked off a two-day visit to Algeria on Monday at the invitation of his counterpart Ramtane Lamamra.

Upon his arrival to the International Airport of Algiers, the Danish top diplomat told reporters that his visit to Algeria aims at boosting bilateral relations.

"Denmark is keen to cooperate with Algeria and build a win-win partnership, especially in the fields of energy and industry," he said.

He also hailed Algeria's key role in terms of the fight against terrorism and its efforts in maintaining peace and security in the region.

Later on Monday, Jensen held talks with Lebanese Energy Minister Salah Khebri and Health Minister Abdelmalek Boudiaf. Endit
