66 injured on Friday's aftershock in Central Nepal: Nepal Police

An aftershock of 5.5 magnitude that struck the Central region of Nepal on Friday night has left 66 people injured, the Nepali Police said on a Twitter Post on Saturday.
Following the incident, hospitals in the Valley witnessed a surge in emergency cases of trauma, local online www.thehimalayantimes.com reported quoting the Police.
"Some people suffered limb fractures and head injuries, while others had deep cuts. They were injured while running or after being hit by falling objects or shattered glasses," the online said in its report.
The epicenter of the aftershock was Sindhupalchowk of the Himalayan country bordering China.
This was one of the strong aftershocks felt in Nepal after the 7.9 magnitude jolted the country on April 25 last year which claimed around 10,000 lives, leaving thousands injured. Endit
