One person was killed and three others were injured in a blast at a college compound in southern Indian state Tamil Nadu Saturday, said police.

The incident took place when an object fell at the compound of a private engineering college near Vellore, 170 km from the state capital Chennai.

A driver was killed and three gardeners at the college were injured, while all students were safe, according to the police. Endit
