China's embassy honors Confucius Institute of Lome University

China's embassy in Togo on Friday honored Confucius Institute of Lome University with an award of excellence to salute its outstanding achievement in Chinese language teaching in the country.

Chinese ambassador to Togo Mr. Liu Yuxi handed the prize of excellence to the institute's principal Mrs. Tchassim Koutchoukalo, during the celebration of Chinese New Year in the institute.

In his speech, the diplomat hailed the cooperation between China and Togo as well as the performance of Lomé Confucius Institute over six years of existence for Chinese language and culture expansion.

" It is the seventh celebration in our university and is now a well shared tradition in our country," Mrs. Kafui Kpegba, second vice-chairperson of the university said. Endit
