Chinese robotics company to acquire German training institution

Xinhua, February 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

A Chinese company from the northeastern city of Shenyang is to acquire 100-percent shares of a German vocational training institution, the Sino-German Siasun Education Technology Group announced on Thursday.

The group is a joint venture between China's leading industrial robot manufacturer Shenyang Siasun Robot and Automation Co., Ltd. and a local consultancy firm.

"We will not only make use of the training expertise of Teutloff Vocational Training Education Group, but also provide training in robotics and smart manufacturing that are in urgent demand," said Fan Cunyan of the group.

Skilled technicians are in short supply in China and the German institution is renowned for its mechanical engineering training, especially welding. Endi
