Former vice mayor of central China city under graft probe

A former vice mayor of Zhangjiajie in central China's Hunan Province is under probe for alleged bribe-taking, the provincial people's procuratorate said in a statement Tuesday.

Cheng Danfeng had been arrested for further investigation, the statement said.

Cheng was also a former standing committee member of Zhangjiajie city committee of the Communist Party of China.

Zhangjiajie is a famous tourist destination known for its forest parks and the Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Endi
