Large amount of cannabis seized in Glasgow, two arrested

Two men were arrested after police seized a large amount of drugs in Glasgow in central and west Scotland, local media reported on Saturday.

About 496 kg of cannabis resin with a street value of about 618,000 pounds (880,000 U.S. dollars) was recovered by officers searching the garage in the Springburn area in northern Glasgow on Friday morning, the online British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported.

Aged 41 and 28, the two men were charged with drug offences, said the report.

The incident was termed as a "significant seizure of controlled drugs" destined for local streets and no identity of the arrested people was given. Endit
