Automatic import license goes digital nationwide next month

Xinhua, January 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

The automatic import license will go digital in all of China's customs on Feb.1, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Friday.

The license will streamline customs declaration and make trading more convenient, the MOC said.

China started testing paperless automatic import licenses at 10 customs last August. More than 75,000 digital licenses were issued last year, 60 percent of all automatic import licenses.

The MOC said around 98 percent of polled enterprises were satisfied with the test program. Endi
