Road accident claims 4 lives, wounds 3 in S. Afghanistan

Four people were killed and three others injured as a passenger bus collided with a mini-bus coming from opposite direction in Miwand district of the southern Kandahar province on Saturday, said spokesman for provincial government, Samim Khapalwak.

Without giving more details, the official blamed reckless driving for the accident, saying investigation has been initiated into the case.

Over a dozen people were killed and more than two dozen others injured in a similar road accident in the northern Samangan province couple of weeks ago.

Careless driving on the congested roads in Afghanistan often causes deadly traffic accidents in the conflict-ridden Afghanistan. Endit
