Airstrike kills ambulance driver in Yemen's Saada

Xinhua, January 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

An ambulance was hit by an airstrike in Yemen's Saada governorate on Thursday, the driver killed, the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) official website reported Friday.

The incident took place in Dhayan, about 20 km from the city of Saada, the report said, adding the airstrike killed the driver who belongs to the MSF-supported Al Gomhoury Hospital in Saada governorate.

"This latest loss of a colleague is devastating, and it demonstrates the ruthlessness with which healthcare is coming under attack in Yemen. People there are being subjected to this kind of violence on a daily basis. No one, not even healthcare workers, are being spared," says Teresa Sancristoval, MSF emergency.

On Jan. 10, a rocket landed in an MSF-sponsored health center in Razeh area in northern Saada province, killing at least four people and injured many others. Endit
