Acting Philippine Justice secretary appointed

Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III appointed Friday an acting secretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Aquino named erstwhile Justice Undersecretary Emmanuel Caparas as the acting DOJ chief after appointing Justice Secretary Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa as associate justice of the Supreme Court, Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. told reporters.

Caparas also served as the DOJ spokesperson.

Caguioa succeeded Associate Justice Martin Villarama Jr. who recently retired from his post. Endit
