Chinese ambassador to Madagascar Yang Min was decorated Commander of Malagasy National Order on Thursday at the end of his 3-year-stay in the Indian Ocean island country.

"On behalf of Madagascar's President Hery Rajaonarimampianina and with the power that we have, I raise you Commander of Malagasy National Order," Madagascar's Foreign Minister Atallah Beatrice said during an official ceremony held at her department.

"Mr. Ambassador, you accomplished a term full of success," Atallah Beatrice told the ambassador during her speech.

Yang was decorated for his hard work in the promotion of relationships between the two countries, said Beatrice.

In his speech, the ambassador said that friendship between the two countries was more developed during his stay in Madagascar.

He listed all realization that China did for Madagascar during his term, including Chinese actions to help Madagascar in social, economy and cultural aspects.

To express his gratitude to the Malagasy people, Yang read a poem he wrote about the beauty of Madagascar.

Yang arrived in Madagascar on July 7, 2013 as extraordinary plenipotentiary ambassador of China in Madagascar. Endit
