Werder Bremen have signed Laszlo Kleinheisler from Hungarian outfit FC Videoton, the Bundesliga team announced in an official statement on Wednesday.

The Hungarian midfielder joined the "Green-Whites" with immediate effect after putting pen to paper on a deal stipulated until June 2019.

"During the trainings camp we got an idea of his skills. We are convinced that Laszlo can help us already in the current season with his qualities," Bremen's sporting director Rouven Schroeder said.

The 21-year-old midfielder made his debut for Hungary in November 12 to help the national team clinching the EURO 2016 qualification with his 1-0 winner over Norway. He played since 2013 for FC Videoton where he scored four goals in 30 appearances.

"We are pleased that we were able to sign him on a long-term. He is a young international with great potential," Bremen's general manager Thomas Eichin said.

Bremen sit currently on a relegation play-off spot with 15 points from 17 games. They face sixth placed Schalke at the 18th round in Bundesliga on January 24. Endit
