1st LD: 1 dead, 12 injured in car bomb near Russian Embassy in Kabul: witness

At least one person was killed and 12 others wounded after a suicide car bomb rocked near the Russian Embassy in the western part of the Afghan capital of Kabul on Wednesday, witnesses and sources said.

The suicide blast occurred at around 05:10 p.m. (1240) along Dar-ul-Aman road. The target is still unknown. The police condoned off the areas and ambulances arrived at the scene,witness Jamal Formuli told Xinhua.

The attacker was killed on the site and 12 passersby wounded as we seen, he said.

A thick black smoke was seen rising above the site.

No group has claimed responsibility yet for the attack, but the Taliban insurgent group routinely claims responsibility for such attacks. Enditem
